Well, Christmas is over. But the fun times are not. I love this season and I’m really looking forward to continuing our celebrations over this next weekend with friends.
I was so blessed this year to be able to go to a showing of Handel’s Messiah with a friend of mine. This is the first time I have ever heard the whole thing from start to finish and it was amazing. So much Bible. I wondered often throughout how much the performers actually believed what they were singing. Passion just oozed out of the conductor and watching him made it even more exciting. You could feel the ebbs and flows through him. We sat about as far back as you could sit…but I would totally do it the same way again. We could see everything! Next time I might take binoculars, but it was still amazing.
Sabrina and I all ready to go. We did not plan to match…lol.
We snuck a picture after the performance as everyone was clapping. It was awesome.
On Christmas Eve, our family traveled down to my husband’s family and shared Christmas with them. It was busy. D is very active and seems to get more so every day.
Now we are home and resting up a bit before hitting the road again tomorrow. It was definitely nice to be back in our bed last night. =)
I am so excited to tell you all that come January 1st, I have a big surprise to unveil. Something I’ve been working on and putting together for the past few months. And I can’t wait to share it with you all. My followers have been AMAZING. I love to write and I hope, come the new year, you will see some more purpose in my writing and in the direction my blog is going to be taking.
God has been so good to our family over this past year and I am amazed more and more at His faithfulness to us. I was reminded again last night how you grow closer to your family by growing closer to God. That is my prayer for your family and for mine this year.
Merry Christmas Everyone and Happy New Year!
